Restorative Ground
With WIP Collaborative
Winner of Care for Hudson Square
2021
Hudson Square, New York City
Selected Press Cultured, Curbed, Fast Company, Madame Architect
Restorative Ground is a temporary installation envisioned as an inclusive landscape of choice, which draws from ongoing research by WIP Collaborative about public spaces for neurodiverse populations of all ages and abilities. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the installation highlights the importance of providing a range of spatial qualities - high and low stimulation, tactile materials and textures, distinct experiential zones - in order to create a truly supportive public environment.
